FROM “IT’S NOT WORKING” TO A PLAN

Start with the problem.
We’ll take it from there.

No technical brief needed. A description of what you see and what you were trying to do is a useful starting point.

  1. Tell us what’s happening.

Share the device, software, error message and anything you have already tried. Let us know if it is affecting your work.

  2. Agree on the next step.

We check whether the request fits, discuss remote or on-site options, and confirm the scope, price and scheduling.

  3. Work through it together.

We troubleshoot or set up what we agreed on, explain the changes and leave you with clear next steps.

A CLEAR SCOPE BEFORE WE START

A small question.
Or a longer to-do list.

One-off troubleshooting, a new device or several things you have been putting off. We quote the work around your situation.

  • Local on-site support. Hands-on help at your location. Tell us where you are so we can confirm availability, travel and the work needed before booking.
  • Remote help. Guided assistance or an agreed remote session for tasks we can work through at a distance. Any remote access is arranged with your permission.
  • Costs agreed in advance. Hardware, software licences and subscriptions are separate unless included in your quote. We discuss extra work before proceeding.

A HELPFUL FIRST MESSAGE

Tell us what you see.
And what you need.

“My laptop connects to Wi-Fi, but the printer does not show up” gives us more to go on than a list of technical terms.

  • The device and application you are using
  • What happens, and when it started
  • What you have already tried
  • Your preferred timing and location, if relevant

An error message can help. Remove private details from screenshots, and keep passwords and verification codes out of your request.

BEFORE YOU GET IN TOUCH

IT support,
without the guesswork.

A few practical answers about getting help, pricing and what the service covers.

Can you help with a small, one-off tech problem?

Yes. You do not need a large project or an existing website with us. Tell us what is not working and what you want to do. We review the request, confirm whether we can help and agree on the scope and price before starting paid work.

Do you support businesses and individuals?

Both. This service is for small businesses, self-employed people and individuals who need practical help with everyday technology. Tell us which devices and applications you use so we can confirm the fit.

Is IT support remote or on-site?

We offer on-site IT support across Greater Montreal and surrounding communities, including Montréal, Laval, Châteauguay, Beauharnois and Kahnawà:ke. Tell us your location so we can confirm availability and any travel costs before booking. Remote help is also available through a call or guided session. Any screen sharing or remote access is arranged with your permission. We choose the approach with you based on the work needed.

Can you visit a smaller town near Montréal?

Yes, we consider on-site requests from smaller towns and surrounding communities throughout the Greater Montreal area. The places listed on this page are examples of our service area, not an exhaustive list. Include your town and the work needed in your request so we can confirm travel, scheduling and the quote. If an on-site visit is not practical, we can discuss whether remote help suits the problem.

How much does IT support cost?

Work is quoted for your request. The problem, number of devices, access needed and any travel affect the scope. We agree on the price before paid work starts and discuss additional work before proceeding. Hardware, software licences and third-party subscriptions are separate unless the quote explicitly includes them.

Do you repair hardware or recover lost data?

This service focuses on troubleshooting, setup and guidance. Physical hardware repair and specialist data recovery are outside its standard scope. If the issue appears to need a specialist, we explain that so you can decide the next step.

Can you provide ongoing IT support?

You can request help again as needs come up, and we can discuss recurring work separately. This service does not include continuous monitoring, an emergency response commitment or a managed IT support contract. We confirm scheduling and the agreed work for each request.

What should I include in my request?

Describe the problem, the device and software involved, when it started and what you have already tried. Include an error message or a screenshot with private information removed if useful. Tell us your location if an on-site visit may be needed. Do not send passwords, verification codes or sensitive files in the contact form.
