CUSTOM SOFTWARE, INTEGRATIONS & PRACTICAL PROTOTYPES

A problem that
needs its own
solution.

Your software does not quite fit. An older printer will not cooperate. Your team keeps doing the same task by hand. Bring us the problem. We’ll work out what is worth building.

SOFTWARE MEETS THE REAL WORLD

Build around
the way you work.

A useful solution can be small. Start with the part of your day you want to improve.

01 / INTERNAL TOOLS

Know what is
where.

Inventory, customer storage, job status and information that has outgrown a spreadsheet. Give your team a tool built around its actual workflow.

Explore inventory websites ↗
02 / AUTOMATION

Stop doing
the same task twice.

Move information between systems, prepare reports or turn a repeated manual handoff into an agreed, testable process.

Describe your workflow ↗
03 / PRINTERS & DEVICES

Help old and new
work together.

Investigate label printing, scanners, unusual printers and older equipment. We check the available interfaces before proposing an integration.

04 / PHYSICAL PROTOTYPES

Make the part
that is missing.

A scanner mount, enclosure, jig or replacement cover. Combine CAD design and 3D printing with a software or device project, then check the fit.

05 / PURPOSE-BUILT WEB TOOLS

Give people
a useful shortcut.

A calculator, file converter, customer portal or focused web application. Start with one job and the people who need to do it.

06 / CUSTOM AI

Your own AI
workspace.

A branded chatbot, an assistant for approved company information or an offline installation. Choose the deployment around your task and data.

KEEP USEFUL EQUIPMENT USEFUL

Before replacing it,
let’s investigate it.

An older printer or a specialized device may need a bridge between the job it does and the system you use today.

We can assess a supported driver, a print service, a label-format converter or custom integration. Custom driver development is an option to investigate when the documentation, operating system and hardware make it practical.

REAL PROJECT / PNEUS EMPIRE + NORTHSTAR AUTO

Built for
the shop floor.

We created an inventory tool covering tire and general stock, customer storage, tread-based pricing, labels and scan-in / scan-out workflows.

Our managed inventory website offer starts at CAD $499 setup + $199/month for the one-location starter. Explore that defined offer, or ask about a different workflow.

FROM PROBLEM TO SOMETHING USEFUL

A clear next step.
Then a tested result.

You do not need a technical specification. A real example of the problem is enough to start.

  1. 01 / UNDERSTAND

    Walk through it.

Show us the task, the systems involved and what success would look like. We check whether an existing solution can do the job.

  2. 02 / AGREE

    Scope the first build.

Confirm feasibility, deliverables, price and acceptance checks. A difficult integration may start with a separately quoted investigation or prototype.

  3. 03 / BUILD & REVIEW

    Test the real workflow.

We use AI-assisted development where useful, with human review and testing. Normandin Systems remains responsible for the work we deliver.

  4. 04 / HAND OVER

    Make it usable.

Review the result together, explain how to use it and agree on documentation, access and any ongoing support.

Costs are scoped in CAD. Build work, hardware, materials, software licences, hosting and ongoing support are identified in the quote. Work outside the agreed scope is discussed before proceeding.

THE RIGHT STARTING POINT

Need help with
what you already have?

For a printer that stopped working, a computer setup or ongoing technical advice, start with IT support.

BEFORE WE BUILD

A little
more clarity.

Do I need to know exactly what to build?

No. Show us a task that takes too long, a device that no longer fits your workflow or an idea you want to try. We help define the useful outcome and check whether an existing product, a small integration or a custom build is the sensible next step.

Can you write a driver for an old or unusual printer?

We can investigate it. Start with the exact printer model, connection type, operating system, available documentation and what needs to print. Depending on the device, the answer may be a supported driver, a print bridge, a format converter or custom driver development. Proprietary protocols, signing requirements, missing documentation and hardware condition can limit feasibility. A working driver is not promised before that review.

Can a project combine software with a 3D-printed part?

Yes. A scanner mount, enclosure, fixture or replacement cover can be scoped alongside the software or device integration. We check dimensions, material, heat, loading and fit, then test an initial prototype. Safety-critical parts need a separate suitability and engineering review.

What does a custom solution cost?

The price depends on the problem, integrations, physical parts and testing needed. We scope the first useful step and quote it in CAD before paid work starts. A feasibility investigation or prototype may be its own paid phase. Hardware, materials, licences, hosting and ongoing support are identified separately in the quote.

How do you use AI when building software?

We use AI-assisted development where useful, with human review and testing against the agreed requirements. Normandin Systems remains responsible for the work we deliver. We agree which project information may be used with any external development tool.

What happens after the first version is ready?

We review the result against the agreed acceptance checks, explain how to use it and confirm ownership, access and handover details. Maintenance, source-code delivery, documentation, additional features and ongoing support are defined in your project agreement.
