How do I install mods like Space Exploration?
You can easily install mods via the web panel's 1-click mod manager, or by uploading your local `mods` folder directly via FTP. When players join, Factorio will automatically sync their mods with the server.
Can I upload my single-player factory?
Absolutely. You can connect to your server via FTP and upload your local `.zip` save file into the server's saves directory, allowing you to pick up exactly where you left off.
Will my factory keep running when I'm offline?
Yes, by default a dedicated server runs 24/7. However, if you don't want biters attacking while everyone is asleep, you can easily toggle the auto_pause setting in the server-settings.json file.
What is UPS and why does it matter?
UPS stands for Updates Per Second. Factorio targets 60 UPS. In massive late-game megabases, the game has to calculate millions of item movements. Our servers use high single-core frequency CPUs specifically to prevent UPS drops.
