Your tools, in one place.

This collection brings Normandin Systems’ original file tools together with an expanded open-source utility library. The tools are hosted on this website, and the source for the included library is available to download.

What stays on your device?

The included tools process the text and files you provide in your browser. Favorites and recently opened tools are saved in this browser’s local storage. Some library tools also save field values in local storage or in the page URL. URL values can remain in browser history and are sent to the host if that URL is loaded or shared; avoid putting secrets in those fields. This toolbox does not add advertising or analytics scripts.

Like any website, the hosting provider receives ordinary requests to load pages and assets. Some tools also download models, dictionaries, templates, or other supporting assets from outside providers. Those requests need an internet connection. Tools marked “Downloads extra assets” may not be ready to use offline.

Self-hosting and offline use

A saved copy of the site can be hosted on your own computer or another web host. A complete working site backup is more useful than a bookmark: it preserves the files needed to run the installed version.

Self-hosted does not automatically mean offline. The full library can cache tools you have used, but browser caches can be cleared or evicted. Some tools require additional downloads. Test the tools you rely on with the network disconnected before counting on offline availability.

The original Markdown, WebP, renaming, and HEIC tools include local copies of their browser dependencies. For a local backup, serve the saved site over http://localhost; opening individual files with file:// will not support every browser feature. The backup package includes a local launcher and instructions.

What is included?

The homepage searches the original four tools and the expanded IT Tools collection. You can also open the complete library interface. Utilities that require unavailable companion servers, outside processing services, or live camera, microphone, or geolocation access have been omitted from this deployment.

Credits and source

The expanded library is based on IT Tools by Corentin Thomasset and the additions maintained in the sharevb fork and by other contributors. Open-source components keep their original licenses and credits. View licenses and download the library source.

Use with care

These utilities are provided as is. Check important conversions, calculations, and generated outputs before relying on them. Keep a copy of important original files.
